Morrow replaces the three traditional viewing zones with two fixed zones and an electronic reading boost. This optical leap is only possible thanks to our own liquid crystal technology, which originated from research at imec.
The difference, in plain language
A traditional multifocal lens has to combine three focal lengths – far, intermediate and near – into a single piece of glass. This can only be achieved by making compromises. The zones become narrower and the edges become blurred.
A Morrow lens has two distinct zones: one for distance vision and one for intermediate vision. Want to read? Just switch on the reading boost with a single click. Finished reading? Then switch it off again.

Developed in a Belgian research laboratory
The technology behind Morrow originated from research carried out at imec, the nanoelectronics research centre in Leuven, in collaboration with Ghent University. Founders Jelle De Smet and Paul Marchal set up Morrow in 2016.
We still develop and manufacture the lenses in Belgium today.
